Methodology

Active teaching methodologies are pedagogical approaches that  emphasize students' active participation  in the learning process, fostering the development of skills such as  critical thinking, collaboration, problem-solving, and decision-making . These methodologies seek to engage students in practical, reflective, and challenging activities, encouraging the autonomous and meaningful construction of knowledge.

Communicative

The communicative language teaching methodology emphasizes the development of students' communication skills in real-life language situations, valuing interaction between students and teachers by encouraging ongoing practice in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Learning is contextualized, using authentic materials that present the language in real-life use. Mistakes are seen as a natural part of the learning process, and students are encouraged to express themselves freely without fear of making mistakes.

Tasks

Task-based learning is a methodology that emphasizes authentic, contextualized tasks to promote meaningful learning. Tasks are designed to be challenging and relevant, and students are encouraged to work collaboratively, communicate effectively, and make decisions in real-world contexts. Assessment is ongoing and based on student performance in completing the tasks. The goal is to develop students' communication skills and practical abilities, as well as to encourage independent learning.

Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

Placement Test

What is the CEFR and why does it matter for your English classes?

The CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) is an international standard that describes proficiency levels in a language — from A1 (beginner) to C2 (proficient).

At Pedagotech, we use the CEFR as a benchmark to personalize your learning and track your progress clearly and objectively. This way, you know exactly where you are, where you can go, and how we'll build that path together, with classes focused on your specific needs.
